I fell in love with Human Resource Management studies the moment I heard about it. Well, maybe not immediately, but, have you ever been inspired by someone close to you to pursue something new? That’s precisely what happened to me. I had initially planned to study something entirely different from Human Resource Management. But then, my cousin, who was studying HR at the time, began telling me about his lectures and the people he was studying with. I was captivated by his stories, and one topic, in particular, caught my attention – the recruitment process. My cousin spoke about his Human Resource Management studies with such passion that I couldn’t help but be inspired to follow in his footsteps and enrol for the qualification myself.

What is Human Resource Management studies?

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a fascinating field of study that is all about supporting employees, promoting a positive work environment and helping organisations achieve their strategic goals through their greatest resource – people. HRM is an employee-centric area of expertise that focuses on providing the necessary support to ensure employees’ optimal physical, mental, and physiological health. Whether an organisation is small or big, when employees feel valued and supported, they perform at their best, which leads to a thriving workplace culture.

Therefore, the BMT College Human Resource Management studies tagline, let’s talk people, makes perfect sense. Because the focus of human resources is people. Moreover, with the increasing focus on diversity and inclusion in the workplace, HRM has become even more critical in promoting a fair and equal working environment for all employees.

After completing my Human Resource Management studies, I was eager to put my knowledge into practice and make a real difference in the workplace.

Through my journey in HR, I have gained valuable experience and skills, including improving my communication skills as an introvert and enhancing my emotional intelligence. My qualification in HR allowed me to escalate my career. Through my studies and work, I have had the opportunity to meet highly informative individuals who are experts in their fields and are always willing to share knowledge and best practices.

My qualifications in Human Resource Management have given me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone. I now earnestly share my experience and knowledge with my Human Resource Management studies students at BMT College.
